Marshall’s legal practice is primarily focused on business and commercial transactions, including business formations; mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; and drafting and negotiating a wide variety of business and commercial contracts. A substantial portion of Marshall’s practice involves assisting real estate developers, home builders, and construction businesses with financing arrangements and structuring special purpose business entities relating to real estate transactions and development projects. Marshall also assists companies and business owners with their succession planning. Marshall has a background in accounting and tax law and formerly practiced as a Certified Public Accountant. He particularly enjoys helping his clients achieve their business objectives in a tax efficient manner.

In operating his practice, Marshall’s first objective is being responsive and meeting the timing needs of his clients. If there is an important deadline, Marshall has a philosophy of doing whatever it takes to get the job done, on time. This is a philosophy that was cultivated during Marshall’s work for his grandfather’s former construction company, Lund Construction.

In the limited amount of free time Marshall has, he spends it with his wife and their three young children. His hobbies include weightlifting and all forms of shooting sports–ranging from traditional archery with a longbow to tactical shooting with modern sporting rifles. When Marshall retires from his legal practice, he hopes to become a rancher and be a smaller-scale, more boring, and less public version of John Dutton.
