A Letter From Landerholm’s President

As the current serving President of Landerholm, P.S., I am elated and proud to announce that 2023 marks the firm’s 75th year providing guidance and solutions for the legal needs within our community.

Landerholm’s beginnings stem from the year 1948, when a Philadelphia lawyer by the name of Walt Robinson decided to take the advice of American author and statesman, Horace Greeley, who said, “Go West, young man!” After completing his military service, Walt settled in Vancouver, Washington–a small town with a population of 40,000 people. Together, he and Irwin Landerholm founded what is presently known as Landerholm, P.S. Since then, Vancouver has grown to become the fourth fastest growing city in Washington state with a population of over 190,000, and Landerholm has maintained a prominent position as a pillar of the business communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. We have continuously adapted to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the ever-changing legal landscape, having successfully represented numerous individuals, families, businesses, and organizations. Additionally, our attorneys have played an active role in the growth and economic success of the area, engaging not only in the legal profession, but in community affairs and charitable initiatives.

The early founders of Landerholm worked tirelessly to establish a firm with attorneys and professional staff who held a passion and drive toward serving clients with the highest level of service and care. While we fondly reflect on the past and the roots that established who we are today, we are actively committed to a forward-thinking mindset that honors the firm’s history and upholds our core mission and values:

As President of the firm, my goal is to foster a healthy, tight-knit work environment built on transparency, fairness, and respect. Having an office setting that has been repeatedly described as both warm and professional, Landerholm is a place where each idea brought to the table is considered and valued. Our strengths are drawn from the broad range of unique perspectives offered by those with varying backgrounds and life experiences. By simultaneously supporting and motivating one another, we can ensure that our clients ultimately receive excellent legal representation, strategic counsel, and highly personalized attention.

To our incredible and dedicated team of attorneys and professional staff–the newcomers, those who have spent a majority of their professional lives working at Landerholm, and everyone in between–thank you.
