A member of Landerholm’s litigation group, Nick Cody focuses his practice on helping clients navigate trust and estate disputes. He advises fiduciaries and beneficiaries alike, representing them in all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, mediation, trial, and appeals. Nick has successfully handled appeals in both state and federal courts, providing clients with valuable perspective and effective representation through every phase of litigation.
Before joining the firm, Nick served as a judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. In that role, he gained extensive experience in both civil and criminal litigation, including participating in multiple jury trials.
Nick thrives on the variety and complexity of issues that arise in litigation, particularly within the realm of trust and estate disputes. He takes pride in crafting creative solutions to difficult legal problems and guiding clients through emotionally charged situations often surrounding the death of a loved one. Nick firmly believes an attorney’s greatest strength lies in the ability to communicate clearly—with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts—and that effective advocacy depends on effective communication.
A Southwest Washington native, Nick is passionate about serving clients in the Pacific Northwest. Outside of work, you’ll find Nick spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as running and cycling. Nick is an avid fan of professional distance running, particularly elite marathoning.
